Freddy Buckingham ID’d as Man Killed in Amarillo Three-Vehicle Crash on East Amarillo Boulevard near Ridgmere Street

Amarillo, Texas (December 26, 2019) – The man who was killed Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Amarillo has been identified as 53-year-old Freddy Buckingham, according to the police.

The crash happened on Tuesday, December 24, on East Amarillo Boulevard near Ridgmere Street.

Police said a semi-truck was making a left turn onto Amarillo Boulevard when it pulled directly into the path of an eastbound Lincoln driven by Buckingham. The Lincoln struck the rear of the trailer, rotated into the westbound lane and collided with a 2018 Chevy Camaro.

Buckingham was taken to the hospital, where he later died. 

The APD’s Traffic Investigation Squad is conducting the investigation.
