Waller County, Texas (December 24, 2021) – A woman was killed, and an 11-year-old was injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Hempstead, Waller County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash occurred around 9:00 p.m., December 22, on Highway 6 near FM 2979.

Authorities said a car crashed into an 18-wheeler that was pulling out of a truck stop.

The car driver, 49-year-old Furong Lin, was pronounced dead at the scene. An 11-year-old was airlifted to the hospital in unknown condition.

No other information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
