Gage Schwartz and Brant Roberts among Three Injured in Bryan Car Crash on Grassbur Road

Bryan, Texas (September 3, 2019) – Two Rudder High School football players were among the three people who were injured in a head-on crash Sunday evening in Bryan, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred around 6:55 p.m. September 1, on Grassbur Road.

DPS said Gage Schwartz, 16, was driving his Ford Mustang northbound on Grassbur Road when he crashed head-on into a Toyota Tundra while driving around a curve.

Schwartz, his passenger, Brant Roberts, and the driver of the Tundra, were able to get out before the vehicles caught fire.

Schwartz and Roberts were taken to CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan. The driver of the Toyota was also taken to CHI St. Joseph.

Schwartz was issued a citation for failure to give path of roadway.

An investigation is ongoing.
