Gene Housley Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Fort Worth Drive (Highway 377) in South Denton

Gene Housley ID’d as Man Killed in South Denton Crash on Highway 377

Denton, Texas (February 9, 2019) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened in south Denton early Thursday morning.
Gene Housley, 54, of Denton, died in the accident that took place in the 3300 block of Fort Worth Drive (Highway 377) at about 1:15 a.m. February 7.
Police said a gray pickup was heading south on Highway 377 when the driver drifted off the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons. The driver then ovecorectd into the northbound side and struck a silver car driven by Housley.
Both drivers were transported to a hospital, where Housley was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the truck, identified as Austin Shadle, 29, of Argyle, was arrested on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
The accident is under investigation.
