George McManus ID’d as Man Killed in Shallowater Crash on North Milwaukee Avenue at County Road 6300
Shallowater, Texas (February 22, 2019) – The man who was killed Wednesday night in a traffic accident in Shallowater has been identified as George McManus, 60, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The tragic crash was reported just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20 on North Milwaukee Avenue at County Road 6300.
According to police, McManus was driving his van on Milwaukee Avenue when it somehow broke down.
Moments later, a vehicle stopped across from McManus’s vehicle to help jump start it. While standing in between those vehicles, a third vehicle slammed into the disabled van, pushing it into McManus.
McManus was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
