Gerardo Rios Jr. Killed and Estevan Flores Jr. Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on 82nd Street

Lubbock, Texas (May 11, 2022) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in South Lubbock, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on May 10, in the 2700 block of 82nd Street.

Police said Gerardo Rios Jr., was crossing the street when he was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Estevan Flores Jr., 23.

Rios was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries where he was later pronounced dead.

Flores was taken to Covenant Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
