Grace O’Heeron Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on LaSalle Avenue in Waco

Grace O’Heeron Seriously Injured in Waco Pedestrian Accident at S. 12th Street and LaSalle Avenue

Waco, Texas (December 16, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning in Waco, according to the police.

The accident took place around 2:00 a.m. December 15, at the intersection of S. 12th Street and LaSalle Avenue.

According to the police, witnesses said 21-year-old Baylor student Grace O’Heeron was attempting to cross Lasalle Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle that had run a red light.

The vehicle left the scene after the accident.

O’Heeron was taken to Hillcrest with multiple serious injuries, including head trauma, multiple broken bones, and she remains in at the ICU.

The suspect, 22-year-old Gabriela Estrada, was later arrested at the University Apartments located at 2900 Primrose.

Estrada was charged with Intoxicated Assault and Failure to Stop and Render Aid Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

An investigation is underway.
