Greg Sammon Injured in Motorcycle Accident on North Loop 610 in Houston

Roman Forest Police Department Officer Greg Sammon Injured in Houston Motorcycle Crash on North Loop 610 

Houston, Texas (June 18, 2019) – A Roman Forest police officer was struck and injured by a vehicle in Houston Monday morning, according to a local news source.

The accident occurred at about 9:50 a.m. Monday, June 17 on North Loop 610.

As per the report, veteran officer Greg Sammon and a Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office deputy were escorting a large load on the highway when Sammon’s motorcycle was hit from behind by a pickup truck.

Sammon and his bike were dragged for an unknown distance before the truck stopped near Kirkpatrick.

Sammon sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped at the scene cooperated with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
