Gregory Galyon Killed in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash on Georgia Street

Amarillo, Texas (May 8, 2021) – According to officials, a man was killed Thursday evening in a motorcycle crash in Amarillo.

The deadly accident occurred around 5:04 p.m., May 6, on South Georgia Street.

Officials said Gregory Luke Galyon, 23, was riding a black motorcycle northbound and was performing a wheelie while a Ford Edge was traveling southbound.

Galyon lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown into oncoming traffic, where he was struck by the Ford.

Galyon was taken to the hospital, where he later died. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Ford driver was uninjured in the crash.

The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
