Heaven Ramirez ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Lubbock Accident on North Loop 289 and Slide Road
Lubbock, Texas (March 16, 2019) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday morning in Lubbock as Heaven Ramirez, 20.
The deadly accident was reported at about 7:00 a.m. Friday, March 15 on North Loop 289 and Slide Road.
Details on how the crash happened were not immediately available.
According to police, Ramirez sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
All eastbound lanes of the North Loop 289 and Slide Road access road were shut down for several hours following the accident. As of 10:00 a.m. the road was reopened.
The Lubbock Police Department is investigating the crash.
