Homeless Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Langley Road

Houston, Texas (June 29, 2020) – A homeless man was fatally hit by a vehicle Sunday night in Houston, according to deputies.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on June 28, in the 4200 block of Langley Road.

Deputies said a man was standing on the roadway when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. The man might have been trying to pick something up since a shopping cart and tarp were found at the scene.

The driver veered off the roadway into a nearby ditch after attempting to avoid hitting the pedestrian.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was described as a Hispanic man in his 50s or 60s.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation is underway.
