The deadly accident happened around 12:10 a.m. at the intersection of Loop 287 and Frank Avenue.

Police said a driver in the inside lane had stopped to allow the woman to cross the street, despite the light being green. Matthew Battise, 26, was driving in the outside lane hit the woman.

Battise did not see the woman crossing the street because he was obstructed by the other car.
