Horacio Acosta-Ramirez Killed in Head-On Crash on Interstate 20 in Ward County

Horacio Acosta-Ramirez Killed in Ward County Two-Vehicle Crash on Business Interstate 20

Ward County, Texas (February 14, 2020) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Monday in Ward County near Barstow, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened on February 10, on business Interstate 20.

DPS said 37-year-old Horacio Acosta-Ramirez, of El Paso, was driving westbound on the interstate when another driver fell asleep, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into his vehicle.

Ramirez and his passenger, Rene Cruz of Odessa, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

 The crash remains under investigation.
