HPD Officer Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on South Post Oak Road at Allum Road

Houston, Texas (August 18, 2022) – A Houston police officer was injured early Thursday morning in a crash involving a suspected drunken driver in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 4:48 a.m., in the 12800 block of South Post Oak Road at Allum Road.

Police said the officer saw a vehicle fire and a crash and was responding to it when their vehicle was rear-ended by a suspected drunken driver.

The officer was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspected drunken driver was taken into custody.

The police are investigating the crash.
