Ian Folakan Killed in Anderson County Pedestrian Accident on SH 155 near Frankston

Anderson County, Texas (March 7, 2022) – A 54-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident in Anderson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 5:20 a.m., March 5, on State Highway 155, about three miles south of Frankston.

DPS said Ian Folakan, 54, of Frankston, was walking southbound in the northbound lanes, straddling the inside and outside lanes of the highway, when he was struck by a northbound 2019 Ford F-250 pickup which was traveling in the outside lane.

There was heavy fog, and the roadway was dark at the time of the accident.

Folakan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver, Antonio Roman, 31, of Palestine, was uninjured in the crash. He stayed at the scene after the accident.

An investigation is underway.
