Ida Schulz Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Highway 351

Abilene, Texas (September 29, 2022) – A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle on Thursday while pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot of an Abilene store, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on September 22, at the store in the 1600 block of Highway 351.

Police said Ida Schulz, 80, of Abilene, was pushing a shopping basket, and she stopped to pick up something she had dropped and was struck by a car that was backing out of a parking space.

Schulz was killed in the crash.

Additional information regarding the crash was not available.

The police are investigating the crash.
