Illiana Mercado Injured in Highway 380 Accident near Post
Post, Texas (February 9, 2019) – One driver was injured in a traffic accident near Post Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash happened at an unspecified time Friday, February 8 on Highway 380 at mile-post 33.
According to the DPS, Illiana Mercado was driving an SUV westbound on Highway 380 when for an unknown reason the SUV crossed a double-yellow line and clipped the mirror of a pickup truck with a trailer.
The DPS said the SUV then made full contact  with the rear of the pickup. The impact caused the SUV to flip over.
Mercado sustained incapacitating injuries in the wreck.
No further details were immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
