Imelda Sifuentes Killed in Ingleside Multi-Vehicle Crash on FM 1069; David Gonzales Arrested

Ingleside, Texas (May 2, 2022) – A woman was killed Friday night in a crash involving a suspected drunken driver in Ingleside, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 9:00 p.m., April 29, on Farm-to-Market Road 1069.

Police said several vehicles were involved in the crash, and two drivers were trapped in their vehicles.

One of the drivers, Imelda Longoria Sifuentes, 67, of Ingleside, was taken to North Shore Hospital in Portland where she was pronounced dead.

The other trapped driver, David Gabriel Gonzales, 26, was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline for treatment. Once he was released, he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and was booked into the San Patricio County Jail. Intoxication Manslaughter carries a sentence of two to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

An investigation is underway.
