Inez Whitener Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash at Dessau Road and Bradbury Lane

Austin, Texas (August 27, 2020) – The woman who was injured earlier this month in a two-vehicle crash in Northeast Austin has died, according to police.

The crash happened around 1:22 p.m., August 10, in the 12600 block of Dessau Road at the intersection of Bradbury Lane, north of East Parmer Lane.

Police said Inez Whitener, 80, was driving a red 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage eastbound on Bradbury Lane when she entered the intersection and was hit by a southbound white 2012 Nissan Armada.

Whitener was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where she died on August 21.

The Nissan driver sustained minor injuries in the crash and was cited for no driver’s license and failing to maintain financial responsibility.
