Ivey Davis Killed, Angela Deleon, Christopher Parsley and Nicholas Ryman Injured in Bridge City Three-Vehicle Crash on Rainbow Bridge

Bridge City, Texas (March 26, 2022) – A child was killed, and three other people were injured on Friday in a three-vehicle crash in Bridge City, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around noon, on March 25, on Texas 87 (the Rainbow Bridge).

DPS said a 2018 Chevrolet truck pulled up behind a 2005 Ford truck that was disabled in the left lane of the bridge.

The Chevrolet driver turned on their emergency flashers and put cones out in an attempt to assist with traffic.

A 2015 Dodge passenger car failed to control its speed and rear-ended the Chevrolet, pushing it into the Ford.

The impact caused the Dodge to skid into the right lane and hit a guardrail.

The Ford driver, Christopher Parsley, 40, of Port Arthur, and the Chevrolet driver, Nicholas Ryman, 29, of Beaumont, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Dodge driver, Angela Deleon, 39, of Orange, and her daughter, Ivey Davis, 4, were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where Davis later died. Deleon was listed in critical condition.

The crash closed the Rainbow Bridge.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation
