Jackson Adams Killed in Crash with 18-Wheeler on U.S. Highway 80 in Wills Point

Jackson Adams Killed, 3 Others Injured after Wills Point Crash at U.S. Highway 80 and F.M. 2965

Wills Point, Texas (May 18, 2022) – A North Texas teen was killed and three others were hospitalized after a crash involving an 18-wheeler truck in Wills Point on Tuesday night, police said.

The fatal collision happened on May 17 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and F.M. 2965, just east of Wills Point High School.

According to the Wills Point Police Department, an 18-wheeler truck collided with a passenger car at the intersection.

Officers responded to the scene and rendered aid to four Wills Point High School students in the passenger car and the man driving the 18-wheeler.

Sadly, one of the high school students was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Jackson Adams.

The three other high students were transported to a Tyler hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was evaluated by paramedics and released at the scene.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
