Jacob Boelter Fatally Hit by Two Cars on Bluff Springs Road in South Austin

Jacob Boelter ID’d as Man Killed in South Austin Pedestrian Accident on Bluff Springs Road

Austin, Texas (February 12, 2020) – The man who was fatally hit by two vehicles early Friday morning in South Austin has been identified as Jacob Boelter, 41, according to the police.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. February 7, in the 6800 block of Bluff Springs Road, just south of William Cannon Drive.

Police said Boelter was on the inside southbound lane of the road when he was hit by a black Nissan Rogue, which was heading southbound on the inside lane.

Boelter came to rest on the inside northbound lane where he was hit by a 2002 green Mazda Protégé.

Boelter was rushed to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where he later died.

The Nissan driver remained at the scene after the accident.
