Jacob Hutson, Christina Gray, and River Hutson Killed in Tyler County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 92 near County Road 4890

Tyler County, Texas (December 22, 2021) – Three people were killed, and another was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Tyler County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened shortly before 7:00 a.m., December 20, on Highway 92 near County Road 4890.

DPS said a 2009 Honda car was traveling northbound when the driver lost control, entered the southbound lanes, and was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet SUV.

The Honda driver, Jacob Hutson, of Lumberton, and two passengers, 18-year-old Christina Gray, of Silsbee, and 4-month-old River Hutson, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chevrolet driver, Shannon Daffron, 28, of Spurger, was taken to CHRISTUS ST. Elizabeth for treatment.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
