Jacob R. Thomas Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway

Lubbock, Texas (February 26, 2021) – One person was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night in Lubbock, according to the police.

The accident happened around 9:45 p.m., on February 24, in the 2200 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. 

Police said Raul Lopez, 27, was driving eastbound in the access road of the freeway when he hit 43-year-old Jacob R. Thomas, who was walking southbound across the traffic lanes.

Thomas was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

Lopez was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
