Jacob Shelp Killed in Motorcycle Crash on West 2nd Street in Taylor

Jacob Shelp Killed in Taylor Motorcycle Crash on West 2nd Street at FM 3349

Taylor, Texas (May 5, 2021) – According to the police, a motorcyclist was killed Monday night in a traffic accident in Taylor.

The deadly crash happened just before 9:00 p.m., March 3, in the 5000 block of West 2nd Street at the intersection with West 2nd Street.

Police said Jacob Shelp, 38, of Elgin, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on West 2nd Street when he hit a U-Haul truck that had entered the intersection while traveling northbound on FM 3349.

Shelp was pronounced dead at the scene.

The U-Haul driver was uninjured in the crash.
