27-Year-Old James Ross Ragsdale Killed, Three Injured in Bryan Three-Vehicle Crash at E. 29th Street and Briarcrest Drive

Bryan, Texas (February 29, 2020) – One person was killed, and three others were injured in a three-vehicle collision early Saturday morning in Bryan, according to the police.

The fatal crash took place at about 4:45 a.m. at the intersection of E. 29th Street and Briarcrest Drive.

Police said a Camaro was heading northbound on 29th Street when it ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by a GMC pickup truck that was traveling westbound on Briarcrest Drive. 

The impact caused the GMC truck to roll onto its side while the Camaro rotated and hit a Buick Verano that was facing southbound on E. 29th Street.

An employee from one of the nearby businesses rushed to the scene and began performing CPR on one of the injured victims.

One female occupant in the Verano was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital, where she was treated and released.

A male and a female in the GMC were taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital with serious injuries.

A passenger in the Camaro, James Ross Ragsdale, 27, was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Camaro driver, Colton Bradley, 21, of Midland, was treated at the scene and then arrested for one count of Intoxication Manslaughter and two counts of Intoxication Assault.

The Bryan police are investigating the crash.
