Jamie McKeown Injured in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County

Jamie McKeown Among 2 Injured in Orange County Crash on Interstate 10 near Rose City

Orange County, Texas (April 21, 2022) – Jamie McKeown, 42, of Butler, Missouri, was among two people who were injured after being involved in a fatal crash on Wednesday afternoon in Orange County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, on Interstate Highway 10 west near Rose City, at mile marker 858.

DPS said a 2004 Ford SUV, driven by McKeown, was traveling in the inside lane of the interstate when its back left tire blew out.

McKeown reportedly lost control of the Ford SUV and was hit by a 2015 Dodge pickup that was traveling in the center lane.

A 2019 Ford pickup, a 2020 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer, a 2006 Toyota passenger car, a 2021 Hyundai passenger car, and a 2018 Dodge pickup were also involved in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Hyundai passenger car were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending notification of their family.

McKeown was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in unknown condition.

The driver of the 2006 Toyota passenger car, identified as Belinda Lemen, 54, of Orange, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the 2015 Dodge pickup was identified as Charles Gravenmier, 72, of Vidor. Gravenmier was not injured.

The driver of the 2019 Ford pickup was identified as Etta Robbins, 73, of Dayton. Robbins was not injured.

The driver of the Peterbilt was identified as Willard Taylor, 63, of Houston. Taylor was not injured.

The driver of the 2018 Dodge pickup was identified as Devlin McLaurin, 29, of Kirbyville. McLaurin was not injured.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the interstate, but they have since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
