Jamie Salazar Lopez Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 2641 and FM 1264
Lubbock, Texas (January 19, 2021) – One person was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in North Lubbock, according to the DPS.
The deadly crash happened just after 9:00 p.m., January 16, at the intersection of FM 2641 and FM 1264.
DPS said Jamie Salazar Lopez, 48, of Lubbock was driving westbound on FM 2641 when he disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.
Lopez was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The other driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. A passenger in that vehicle was taken to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
