Jasmine Lewis Killed in Dallas County Pedestrian Accident on President George Bush Turnpike near Belt Line Road

Dallas County, Texas – According to the Texas DPS, a person was hit and killed by a car early Sunday morning in Dallas County.

The fatal crash happened around 1:13 a.m., January 14, on President George Bush Turnpike near Belt Line Road.

DPS said a Honda Accord became disabled after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes. The driver was outside the vehicle when a BMW X3 struck her and the Honda.

The Honda driver, 19-year-old Jasmine Lewis of Arlington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Honda and the BMW driver and passenger were treated for minor injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
