Jason Buckner and Stephanie Duke Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on East Slaton Highway

Lubbock, Texas (June 23, 2020) – Two people were killed Saturday night in a motorcycle accident in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The fatal crash occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on June 20, in the 200 block of East Slaton Highway.

Police said 37-year-old Jason Buckner was riding a motorcycle eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway when he crashed head-on into a westbound Cadillac SRX driven by 28-year-old Freddie Flores.

Buckner and his passenger, 42-year-old Stephanie Duke, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Flores and the other occupants of the Cadillac, 26-year-old Cindy Delao and two children, were taken to UMC for treatment.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
