Jennifer Young, Christian Palmertree Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-20 in Mesquite

Jennifer Young and Christian Palmertree Killed in Mesquite Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 20

Mesquite, Texas (March 2, 2022) – A woman and her son were killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Mesquite, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., February 28, on westbound Interstate 20, on a bridge near Farm Road 741.

Police said the woman was driving a BMW sedan with her 3-year-old son when she collided with a Nissan sedan. Both vehicles became disabled and the BMW was hit by an 18-wheeler. The woman and her son then got out of their vehicle and were struck by another vehicle.

Both the woman and the child were pronounced dead at the scene. The woman has been identified as 30-year-old Jennifer Young of Benbrook. Her son has been identified as Christian Palmertree.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
