Jeremy Campbell Killed in League City Car Crash on I-45 Gulf Freeway at League City Parkway
League City, Texas (October 29, 2020) – A person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in League City, according to authorities.
The fatal crash happened around 1:15 p.m., October 28, on the Interstate 45 Gulf Freeway feeder road at League City Parkway.
Police said Keniqua Pleasant, 19, was exiting the freeway when her vehicle hit a car driven by Jeremy Campbell, 46. The impact pushed Campbell’s vehicle into the feeder road, where it was hit by a third vehicle. Campbell’s vehicle then jumped over a retaining wall and crashed into a bulldozer at a construction site.
Campbell was killed in the crash.
A witness stopped to help, and Pleasant jumped in the vehicle and fled the scene. She abandoned the vehicle at Bay Area Boulevard and the Gulf Freeway.
Pleasant was later found and arrested. She has been charged with failure to stop and render aid and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The police are investigating the crash.
