Jerry Harvey, Barbara Harvey and Jesse Kerr Injured in Travis County Plane Crash on FM 1431 near Rusty Allen Airport

Travis County, Texas (October 1, 2020) – A man and two women were injured Monday afternoon in a plane crash in northwest Travis County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m., September 28, on FM 1431, near Tyler Trail.

DPS said a Beechcraft BE 36 Bonanza had left Brownsville and was headed for the Rusty Allen Airport in Lago Vista when it crashed into the woods 50 to 100 yards behind Heritage Construction Co., 3 miles south of the airport.

It took about twenty minutes for the emergency responders to get to the upside-down plane.

Jerry Harvey, 61, of Jonestown, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin in stable condition.

Barbara Harvey, 66, of Jonestown, and Jesse Kerr, 36, of Austin, were taken to hospitals in stable conditions.

The NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash.
