Jerry Sanchez Killed in Helotes Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 16

Helotes, Texas (December 24, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on December 10 in Helotes, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:30 p.m., on State Highway 16 near Helotes Elementary.

Police said Jerry Sanchez, 36, was walking home from work when he was struck by a newer model black RAM 2500 or 3500.

Sanchez was killed in the crash.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Officers said the vehicle had yellow clearance lights, Mopar brand headlights, and had front end damage on the right side.
