Jesse James Williams and Linda Williams Seriously Injured in Jasper Two-Vehicle Crash at West Houston Street and FM 777

Jasper, Texas (March 5, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at a Jasper intersection, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. March 3, at the intersection of West Houston Street and Farm to Market Road 777.

According to the police, Stacy Kimble, 49, of Kyle, was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 pickup truck pulling a lowboy trailer westbound on Houston Street. Kimble turned into the path of an eastbound 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jesse James Williams, Jr., 72, of Silsbee, and the two vehicles collided.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws-of-Life to extricate Mr. Williams from his Jeep.

Mr. Williams and his wife, Linda Williams, 72, were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Kimble was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope Jesse James Williams and Linda Williams recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
