Jimmy Gus Anderson Killed in Crash Involving Cattle Truck on Hwy 83 at CR 107 in Stonewall County

Jimmy Gus Anderson ID’d as Man Killed in Stonewall County Cattle Truck Crash at Highway 83 and CR 107

Stonewall County, Texas (September 28, 2019) – The man who was killed Thursday evening in a traffic collision involving a cattle truck in Stonewall County has been identified as Jimmy Gus Anderson, 79, of Aspermont, according to the Texas Department of Safety.

The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. September 26, at the intersection of County Road 476 and Highway 83 between Hamlin and Aspermont.

DPS said Anderson pulled in front of an 18-wheeler hauling cattle, resulting in a collision at the intersection.

The impact caused both vehicles to go off the roadway.

Anderson’s vehicle caught fire.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two cattle were also killed in the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
