Jimmy Robinson Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on 14th Street in Plano

59-Year-Old Jimmy Robinson Killed in Plano Pedestrian Accident on 14th Street

Plano, Texas (February 22, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident last week Saturday in Plano, according to the police.

The accident occurred around 7:40 p.m. February 15, in the 2700 block of 14th Street.

Police said Jimmy Robinson, 59, was walking on the sidewalk just as a vehicle was backing out of a driveway. Robinson stepped into the street to avoid the vehicle that was backing out and was hit by a passing SUV.

The SUV stopped briefly for a passenger to jump out and run away. The driver then fled the scene.

Jimmy Robinson, 59, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The police are looking for the driver and passenger who were in the suspect vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Plano Police Department. Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
