John Russell Brown Jr. Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on US 62/82 and FM 1585

Lubbock, Texas (November 28, 2019) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday in Lubbock, according to the DPS.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. November 26, on US 62/82 (Brownfield Highway) and FM 1585.

DPS said 86-year-old John Russell Brown Jr. was driving on FM 1585 when he attempted to turn westbound onto Highway 62/82 and pulled in front of an eastbound pickup truck, resulting in a collision.

Brown was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
