John Ryan Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on SH 118 in Brewster County

John Ryan ID’d as Victim Killed in Brewster County Collision on SH 118

Brewster County, Texas (May 12, 2023) – The person who died in a crash on Wednesday in Brewster County has been identified as 75-year-old John Bainbridge Ryan of Terlingua.

The deadly accident took place on SH 118 on May 10.

Police said Ryan was driving his vehicle southbound on SH 118 in a curve when, for an unknown reason, he veered into the northbound lane and collided with a northbound vehicle.

Ryan died at the scene of the crash.

The passenger in Ryan’s vehicle sustained serious injuries and was taken to Medical Center Hospital.

The second driver was also transported to MCH in stable condition.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
