Johnathan Alexander and Tory Alexander Jr., Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on I-45 (North Freeway) near Hardy Toll Road

Houston, Texas (July 9, 2020) – Two boys, a 13-year-old and an 11-year-old were killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Houston, according to deputies.

The fatal crash happened on July 7, in the 23400 block of I-45 (the North Freeway) near the Hardy Toll Road.

Authorities said a Nissan Altima had a flat tire and the driver stopped in an unprotected HOV lane waiting for help. A northbound red Ford Mustang driven by a 17-year-old then rear-ended the Altima.

Two passengers in the Altima, Johnathan Alexander, and Tory Alexander Jr., were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital where they later died.

The Altima driver, an 18-year-old and two other passengers, aged 20 and 15, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Mustang driver and his 17-year-old passenger were also taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Johnathan Alexander and Tory Alexander Jr.
