Juan Pasillas Killed, Jorge Meza Arrested after El Paso Pedestrian Crash on Dyer Street

El Paso, Texas (February 2, 2019) – Police have arrested a man suspected to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead last Saturday morning in northeast El Paso.
According to the authorities, the crash happened on Dyer Street at Sun Valley on Saturday, January 26.
Police said Juan Manuel Pasillas, 47, was trying to cross the intersection when a vehicle struck him. The driver fled the scene.
A second vehicle also ran over Pasillas.
Pasillas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police in a news release confirmed that Jorge Benjamin Meza, 23, of Chaparral has been arrested in connection with the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
