Jose Luis Garcia ID’d as Man Killed in Victoria Motorcycle Crash on US 59 Business

Victoria, Texas (May 8, 2019) – The rider who died after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer in Victoria Monday night has been identified as Jose Luis Garcia, 34, of Victoria, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The incident occurred on Monday, May 6, on U.S. 59 Business near the intersection of Amhurst Street.
The report showed that Garcia was going south on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he slammed into the back of the big rig.
Garcia suffered major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The driver of the big rig, John Denton, 45, of Memphis, Tenn., was not injured.
The collision is under investigation.
