Jose Manuel Robles Killed, Gaylon Wilson Injured in Rusk County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 259 at FM 850

Rusk County, Texas (March 25, 2023) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday in Rusk County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:45 a.m., March 23, at the intersection of U.S. 259 and FM 850.

DPS said Gaylon Wilson, 45, of Tyler, was driving a tanker truck tractor southbound on U.S. 259 while Jose Manuel Robles, 42, of Tyler, was driving a pickup truck westbound on FM 850 approaching the intersection.

Robles failed to stop at the stop sign and hit the tanker truck tractor.

Robles was killed in the crash.

Wilson was transported to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
