27-Year-Old Joselyn Ortega Killed in Callahan County Pedestrian Accident on I-20

Callahan County, Texas (April 30, 2020) – According to a local news source, a woman checking on a flat tire on her vehicle was fatally hit by a semi-truck Wednesday evening in Callahan County.

The deadly accident happened just before 7:00 p.m., April 29, on westbound Interstate 20, west of Baird.

According to the report, Joselyn Ortega, 27, of Haltom City, was checking on a flat tire on her pickup truck, in the westbound median, when she was struck by a semi-truck that was traveling in the inside lane.

Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
