Joshua John Hinojosa and Eva Margarita Corona Killed, 11-Year-Old Boy Injured in Petersburg Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 789
Petersburg, Texas (December 18, 2019) – Two people were killed, and an 11-year-old boy was injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash, south of Petersburg, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash was reported around 9:43 p.m. December 17, on Farm-to-Market Road 789.
DPS said 24-year-old Joshua John Hinojosa, of Petersburg, was driving on the wrong side of the road when he hit another vehicle driven by 39-year-old Eva Margarita Corona, of Smyer.
Hinojosa and Corona were declared dead at the scene.
A passerby pulled an 11-year-old Smyer boy from Corona’s vehicle.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
