Joyce Beckman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on South Allen in Boyd

Joyce Beckman ID’d as Woman Killed in Boyd Crash on South Allen (Farm Road 730) near Jennings Avenue

Boyd, Texas (April 3, 2023) – Authorities have identified the woman who died following a traffic accident on Thursday in Boyd as Joyce Beckman, 63, of Boyd.

The deadly crash happened a little before noon Thursday, March 30, on South Allen (Farm Road 730) near Jennings Avenue.

According to the authorities, Beckman was driving a tan F-150 pickup northbound on South Allen when, for an unknown reason, she allowed the vehicle to cross into the oncoming lane and crashed into a dump truck.

Beckman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the dump truck did not suffer any injuries.

Boyd Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating the crash.
