Juan M. Guerra III Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Saunders Street at Bartlett Avenue in Laredo

Juan M. Guerra III Killed in Laredo Motorcycle Accident at Saunders Street and Bartlett Avenue 

Laredo, Texas (February 19, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday night in Laredo, police said.

The accident took place around 9:30 p.m., February 15, at the intersection of Saunders Street and Bartlett Avenue.

Police said Juan M. Guerra III, 28, was riding a motorcycle westbound on Saunders Street when he crashed into a sedan that was traveling southbound on Bartlett Avenue.

According to witnesses, the sedan had the green light, and Guerra was speeding.

Guerra was taken to a local hospital where he died around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 16. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The sedan driver, Jessica Jeanette Vela, 19, was uninjured in the crash. She showed no signs of intoxication.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
