Juan Molina and Yisel Rucoba Killed, Saul Torres Injured in NW Harris County Multi-Vehicle Crash on W. Mount Houston

Harris County, Texas (March 2, 2020) – A couple was killed, and a father and his child were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday night in northwest Harris County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:25 p.m. March 1, in the 2900 block of W. Mount Houston (State Highway 249) near T C Jester Boulevard.

Authorities said Juan Molina was driving an orange 2017 Challenger eastbound at a high rate of speed when he changed lanes unsafely and was hit by an eastbound gray 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by Lamberto Vazquez.

The force of the impact caused the Challenger to spin around into oncoming traffic, and it was hit by a westbound maroon 2008 Honda Accord driven by Joseph Farrell. The maroon Honda Accord rotated clockwise and was hit by a white Honda Accord driven by Ut-Em Pham and his passenger Hue Tran.

The maroon Honda Accord continued spinning clockwise and was hit by a black 2007 Nissan Xterra driven by Sarahi Ramos. The Xterra also hit the Challenger, which spun again before being struck by a black 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by Saul Torres.

Molina and his passenger, Yisel Rucoba, were declared dead at the scene. They were a married couple.

Torres and his 12-year-old child had to be extricated and were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Juan Molina and Yisel Rucoba.
