Juan Solis Killed after Train Hits 18-Wheeler on Prairie Valley Road in Plum

55-Year-Old Juan Solis ID’d as Truck Driver Killed in Plum Train Accident on Prairie Valley Road

Plum, Texas (June 7, 2022) – Authorities have identified the driver who was killed after a train slammed into an 18-wheeler Thursday morning near Plum in Fayette County.

Juan Solis, 55, died in the crash that happened at about 8:51 a.m. on June 2 at the intersection of the train tracks and Prairie Valley Road.

Solis, a resident of Houston, was driving a 2006 Peterbilt truck pulling a loaded gravel trailer when, for an unknown reason, the truck was hit by the train.

Solis died in the crash.

No further information is currently available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
