Justin Ortiz Killed in Houston Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 10(East Freeway) at Lockwood

Houston, Texas (June 30, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed, and another was injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Houston, according to police.

The deadly crash happened at about 6:35 p.m. on June 27, at 5598 Interstate 10(East Freeway) at Lockwood.

Police said two motorcyclists were heading southbound on Lockwood and crossing at the freeway when one of them was struck by a BMW sedan.

The second motorcyclist, 23-year-old Justin Ortiz, was then struck by a black Chevrolet Tahoe.

Both the BMW and the Chevrolet fled the scene.

Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other motorcyclist was not seriously injured in the crash.
